The sunscreen cream is a cross-linked product of a polydopamine oligomer and a hydrophilic polymer with sulfydryl, amino or boric acid; the polydopamine oligomer has a molecular weight of 2k-8k, and the hydrophilic polymer with sulfydryl, amine or boric acid is a multi-arm boric acid PEG or a multi-arm sulfydryl PEG. The gelation pH value of the sunscreen cream is 7-9, the gelatinization temperature is room temperature, and the gelation time is 5s-300s. The preparation method comprises the following steps: step 1, carrying out oxidative self-polymerization of dopamine hydrochloride in alkaline and air; step 2, separating an intermediate oligomer by means of dialysis; and step 3, mixing and cross-linking the oligomer obtained in the step 2 with the hydrophilic polymer with sulfydryl, amino or boric acid to obtain the sunscreen cream.
