Abstract

The invention discloses a human eye protection circuit capable of being applied to a light detecting and ranging system. The human eye protection circuit comprises a digital-to-analog converter and acomparator, wherein the digital-to-analog converter converts an input sampling signal into an output DC level signal, and the sampling signal is sampled from the light detecting and ranging system; the comparator receives the DC level signal and a threshold voltage signal as input, and simultaneously outputs a protection signal, the protection signal is fed back to the light detecting and rangingsystem and is used for turning off the light detecting and ranging system when pulse intensity of the light detecting and ranging system exceeds the human eye bearing capacity; and the protection signal is at a high level when the DC level signal is higher than the threshold voltage signal; otherwise, the protection signal is at a low level when the DC level signal is lower than the threshold voltage signal. The human eye protection circuit has the beneficial effects of automatically turning off the problematic laser driving circuit to protect the human eyes.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of light detection and distance measurement, and in particular relates to a human eye protection circuit which can be used in the light detection and distance measurement system. Background technique [0002] Many applications cannot measure distance to a target by establishing physical contact with the target, possible options for non-contact distance measurement include mmWave, laser and ultrasonic. Light detection and ranging (LIDAR) systems use the time it takes for light to travel between objects to attempt to measure the distance to this target, and flash LIDAR systems use pulsed laser light and a pulsed time-of-flight (TOF) algorithm to calculate target distance. The system emits extremely narrow pulses with a width of a few ns to tens of ns, and a peak power ranging from a few hundred mW to 70W or more. For the human eye, the thermal effect accumulated by higher peak power laser irradiation in continuous mode...
