Abstract

A multi-phase switching converter with a daisy-chain architecture and a phase-cutting control method thereof are disclosed, wherein the multi-phase switching converter includes a plurality of switching circuits coupled in parallel and a plurality of control circuits connected in a daisy-chain architecture. The phase-cutting control method includes: obtaining a current indication signal indicating the load current; obtaining serial number information of the control circuit; generating a current threshold according to the serial number information; and comparing the current indicating signal with the current threshold to determine whether to enter the phase-cutting mode; wherein In the phase cut mode, the control circuit makes the corresponding switch circuit stop power output, and makes the phase output signal equal to the phase input signal.
