Abstract

The invention discloses an adjacent OTA upgrading system of a terminal device. The adjacent OTA upgrading system comprises an OTA server, a gateway and a plurality of terminal devices. The OTA serveris used for responding to a query update request and a download update request of the terminal device. The gateway is used for realizing communication forwarding between the OTA server and the terminal device. The terminal device sends a query update request to an OTA server and receives the OTA server to inform whether update exists or not, and the terminal device sends an update downloading request to the OTA server, directly acquires the update file from the OTA server when the adjacent terminal device does not download the update file, and acquires the update file from the adjacent terminal device which has downloaded the update file when the adjacent terminal device has downloaded the update file.
