Embodiment Construction

[0084] The present application provides a method and device for port detection, which are used to quickly and accurately detect the port connected to the ONU and improve the efficiency of determining the port connected to the ONU.

[0085] The architecture of the PON system applied by the port detection method provided by this application can be as follows Figure 1A shown.

[0086] Wherein, the PON system may include an OLT, an ODN and at least one ONU.

[0087] The ODN may include at least one optical splitter (Splitter), and may also include an optical fiber. Specifically, the optical fiber may include a main fiber (Feed Fiber), a distribution fiber (Distribute Fiber) and a drop fiber (Drop Fiber). The backbone optical fiber is the optical fiber connecting the OLT and the ODN, and the distribution optical fiber and branch optical fiber can also be called branch optical fibers. The branch fiber is the fiber connected between the optical splitter and the connected ONU, and t...

Abstract

The invention provides a port detection method and a port detection device, which are used for quickly and accurately detecting an ONU access port and improving the efficiency of determining the ONU access port. The method comprises: an optical line terminal (OLT) sends an optical signal of each of N wavelengths to at least one optical network unit (ONU), the N wavelengths being different from each other, and N being a positive integer; the OLT receives the optical power information sent by the first ONU, wherein the optical power information comprises the value of the optical power of the optical signal of each wavelength in the N wavelengths received by the first ONU, and the first ONU is any one ONU in the at least one ONU; and the OLT determines the port information of the optical splitter corresponding to the first ONU according to the optical power information.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to the communication field, and in particular to a method and device for port detection. Background technique [0002] In the passive optical network (passive optical network, PON) system, it includes at least three kinds of equipment: optical line terminal (optical line termination, OLT), optical distribution network (optical distribution network, ODN) and optical network unit (optical network unit, ONU). Wherein, the ODN may include one or more optical splitters (splitters), and the one or more optical splitters are divided into one or more stages of splitting. For example, the first stage of optical splitting includes optical splitter 1, optical splitter 1 divides the power of the received optical signal equally, and transmits them to optical splitter 2 and optical splitter 3 connected to the output end of optical splitter respectively, optical splitter 2 and optical splitter 3 are the first Two-level optical splitt...
