The methodcomprises the steps of: setting ball element and wall element data in software in a linear bonding model, and generating ball elements in the wall elements to establish an initial simulation model; establishing an early-stage uniaxial compression and Brazilian splitting test initial model, determining a proportional relation between mesoscopic parameters of the model and macroscopic physical and mechanical parameters of a coal body, and establishing an initial coal body model; generating a roller model, and endowing the roller with a proper rotating speed and a horizontal rightward speed to cut the coal body model until cutting is completed; and counting the cut model lump coal rate, comparing the cut model lump coal rate with the actual lump coal rate of the reference working face, and adjusting the rotating speed and the horizontal speed of the model roller until the model lump coal rate is the same as the actual lump coal rate of the working face.
