Problems solved by technology

The existing mechanical rotation method is contrary to the goal of miniaturization of the current lidar system due to the large number of moving parts and the need for calibration
At the same time, Micro-electromechanical Systems (Micro-electromechanical Systems) and Optical Phased Array (Optical Phased Array) provide the possibility for a single-chip LiDAR system, but both of them are usually unable to obtain a large distance due to the irreducible distance between adjacent units The scanning angle range needs to rely on another optical lens system to enlarge the scanning angle

Abstract

The invention provides a multi-beam surface emitting waveguide phased array that comprises an input waveguide, a beam splitter, a one-dimensional phase modulator array, a beam splitter array, a waveguide array and a grating radiation antenna array; each phase modulator in the one-dimensional phase modulator array is connected with each light outlet path of the beam splitter, and phase modulation is carried out on light output by the beam splitter; the beam splitter array splits each path of light passing through the phase modulator into a series of waveguide modes with set amplitudes and phases; the waveguide array is used for transmitting a series of waveguide modes with set amplitudes and phases generated by the secondary beam splitter with the set beam splitting ratio; the grating radiation antenna array couples light in the waveguide array into a free space and outputs a two-dimensional distribution light beam array. According to the invention, through the multi-beam surface emitting waveguide phased array, the laser in the on-chip waveguide is coupled into a spatial wide-coverage two-dimensional beam to be emitted through the waveguide unit and the grating radiation antenna.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to a laser radar system, and further relates to a multi-beam surface-emitting waveguide phased array. Background technique [0002] The beam scanning component in a lidar system is very important. The existing mechanical rotation method is contrary to the goal of miniaturization of the current lidar system due to the large number of moving parts and the need for calibration. At the same time, Micro-electromechanical Systems (Micro-electromechanical Systems) and Optical Phased Array (Optical Phased Array) provide the possibility for monolithic lidar systems, but both of them usually cannot get a large The scanning angle range needs to rely on another optical lens system to enlarge the scanning angle. Contents of the invention [0003] (1) Technical problems to be solved [0004] In view of this, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a multi-beam surface-emitting waveguide phased array to at least partially...
