The invention provides an event-triggered power system economic dispatching method under quantitative communication, and the method achieves the economic dispatching of a power system through considering the quantification of real-value signal transmission and employing an event triggering mode on the basis of a distributed power system economic dispatching method. According to the method, the advantages of quantification of signal transmission and a multi-agent consistency algorithm under event triggering are combined, so the data transmission can be completed under the limitation of data capacity, communication bandwidth and the like, the dependence on communication is reduced compared with a centralized algorithm, and the limitation that the communication bandwidth of real-value transmission is infinite in an ideal state is relieved. In the iteration of the consistency algorithm, the strong connectivity of the communication topology of the generator sets is not required, and only the information exchange transmission of the adjacent generator sets is required in the actual operation.
