[0014] The present disclosure relates to methods for restoring navigation performance if a navigation system has been cheated. The methods described herein involve determining a drift range between a first navigation system and a second navigation system. For exemplary purposes described herein, the first navigation system is a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and the second navigation system is an inertial navigation system (INS). Although this description is primarily directed to use on an aircraft, it is applicable to any vehicle or environment, including on land or at sea, that will utilize a navigation system that may be subject to spoofing attacks.
