The novel vertical greening wall comprises a planting groove module and a water-absorption cotton placement groove module, wherein planting grooves are arranged on the front end surface of the planting groove module; a through hole is arranged at the bottom part of each planting groove; water-absorption cotton placement grooves correspondingto the planting grooves in position are arranged on the front end surface of the water-absorption cotton placement groove module; irrigation pipelines are vertically arranged between the planting groove module and the water-absorption cotton placement groove module; a water storage box is respectively arranged at the top ends of the planting groove module and the water-absorption cotton placementgroove module; pipeline units are arranged on the pipe body of each irrigation pipeline in the axial direction of the irrigation pipelines in a layered mode; the top end of each irrigation pipeline extends into the water storage box; a water-absorption cotton thread is arranged in each irrigation pipeline; the top end of each water-absorption cotton thread is connected with a floating block; a nutrient solution and water are conveyed into the water storage box through a nutrient solution pipeline and a water pipeline located at one side ends of the planting groove module and the water-absorption cotton placement groove module respectively; the water-absorption cotton thread then conveys water and nutrients downwards to the water-absorption cotton placement grooves; and thus, point-to-pointwater storage and plant irrigation can be achieved, and water is saved.
