[0031] Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to wearable sensor housings or housings. In use, the wearable sensor housing may be placed on an absorbent article such as a diaper or otherwise attached to the wearer. When properly positioned, one or more sensors housed within the wearable sensor housing can measure one or more parameters of the wearer. Non-limiting examples of suitable parameters that may be measured include movement, moisture (eg, humidity or humidity), presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), light, sound, temperature, or other parameters. In one example, electronics housed in a wearable sensor housing can send parameters to an external device. Non-limiting examples of suitable external devices include a monitor, external computing server, tablet computer, cell phone, or any other device that can receive transmissions from one or more sensors housed within the wearable sensor housing.

Abstract

Various examples of a wearable sensor housing are described. In an example, the wearable sensor housing is generally an ellipse having a rigid interior that protects one or more sensors or other electronic devices. The housing includes a proximal assembly and a distal assembly. The proximal assembly of the housing optionally includes one or more openings for passage of light for detection by the sensing electronics. The distal assembly includes a projection positioned in an interior of the distal assembly and a lip positioned along a perimeter of the distal assembly such that the lip surroundsthe projection.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application generally relates to housings or housings for sensors. In an example, the present application relates to a wearable sensor housing that can be worn on an absorbent article and that can house one or more electronic sensors, such as accelerometers or optical sensors. A wearable sensor housing can house electronics (eg, sensors) and can be attached or secured to a wearer, eg, clothing or an absorbent article such as a diaper. When attached, one or more sensors in the wearable sensor housing or associated electronics can detect and analyze various measurements of the wearer. Background technique [0002] Existing solutions for wearable sensor housings have drawbacks. For example, existing solutions typically designed for adult wearers may be too large for children or infants. These solutions may include small parts that could come off, creating a hazard. Additionally, some existing solutions are shaped such that they may pose a ...
