Embodiment Construction

[0041] In the following description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate various embodiments by way of example. Furthermore, various embodiments will be described below by referring to several examples. It is to be understood that the embodiments may incorporate changes in design and construction without departing from the scope of the claimed subject matter.

[0042] In the present disclosure, an accurate and flexible system and method capable of updating a database of real world items via a virtual world system is provided. The systems and methods can provide different reality blends that enable reality to be replaced in virtual reality by a persistent virtual world, or have only some parts of reality replaced or extended by purely virtual objects, such as in augmented or mixed in reality. Users can interact with a store of real-world items represented by virtual objects. Stores represented by virtual objects may or may not exist in the real w...

Abstract

A system comprises at least one cloud server of a cloud server computer system comprising at least one processor and memory storing a persistent virtual world system comprising one or more virtual objects including virtual data and models. The virtual objects comprise one or more of a virtual twin, a pure virtual object, or an application, wherein at least one of the virtual objects represents a store of real-world items connected to a periodically-updated database associated to the products of the at least one store. Users may access the store through the persistent virtual world system via auser device enabling interactions with and between elements within the store.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims the benefit of Provisional Application No. 62 / 863171, filed June 18, 2019, the entire disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference for all purposes. Background technique [0003] Databases are often used to track physical objects. In the first case, the user goes to the location of the physical object and takes it to another location. A barcode scanner, camera, or other device can be used to determine that an object has been removed from its original location. In the second case, a remote user accesses a website to request that an object be shipped to another location. In either case, the database can be updated to reflect that the physical object has been moved from its original location or to indicate that a transaction has occurred. [0004] However, current techniques in these situations have several disadvantages. For example, in the first case, the user has to be physically pr...
