Abstract

The clamping mechanism comprises a driving part, a worm, a worm wheel, atransmission assembly and a clamping assembly, wherein the worm is mounted on an output shaft of the driving part, and the worm wheel is engaged with the worm and is in transmission connection to thetransmission assembly; and the transmission assembly is connected to the clamping assembly so as to drive the clamping assembly to clamp or loosen a to-be-clamped object under transmission of the wormwheel. According to reverse self-locking characteristics of the worm wheel and the worm, the torque transmission directions of the worm and the worm wheel are irreversible. When the driving part rotates till the clamping assembly clamps the to-be-clamped object, the clamping assembly cannot drive the worm wheel and the worm to rotate under the action of external force so as to loosen the to-be-clamped object. The clamping assembly can keep the locking state of the to-be-clamped object, and at the moment, the driving part can be in a power-down state to stop outputting the torque, the power consumption of the driving part is reduced to the maximum degree, phenomena that the driving part is heated seriously, overloaded and even burnt out are effectively avoided, so that the service life ofthe driving part can be prolonged.
