The method comprises the following steps of through an upper stroke suspension point static load, a lower stroke suspension point static load, wellhead oil pressure, wellhead casing pressure, oil well pump plunger sectional area, density of oil in well liquid, gravitational acceleration, dynamic liquid level depth and density of water in the well liquid, and quickly calculating the water content of liquid in the oil well shaft according to a water content formula. The method has thecharacteristics of low cost, high speed and better utilization of digitalization of a mine field, and the time and the workload for sampling and measuring the moisture content by a distillation method are saved; and for an oil well provided with a digital load sensor, the online water content monitoring cost of equipment such as ultrasonic waves can be reduced.
