The urban drainage early warning system comprises a data acquisition module, a data calculation module and a result display module. The data acquisition module is used for acquiring the maximum flow of a drainage branch pipe in unit time and acquiring flow data of a catch basin directly communicated with the drainage branch pipe; the data calculation module is used for predicting the flow of the catch basin in the next time period T according to the flow data, and obtaining the flow of the catch basin at each moment in the time period T; whether the drainage branch pipe can meet the drainage requirement or not is judged according to the flow; and the result display module is used for displaying the judgment result in a GIS model of the urban drainage pipeline and sending an alarm prompt to a worker when the judgment result is that the drainage branch pipe cannot meet the drainage requirement.
