The invention discloses an ANSYS-based water meter flow characteristic parameterization optimization method, which comprises the following steps of: extracting relevant structure parameters of a water meter, establishing a parameterization group and performing simulation calculation on a flow field in the water meter by adopting a numerical simulation method, so that the distribution of the flow field in the water meter can be intuitively displayed. Meanwhile, the flow characteristic of the water meter is calculated; the automatic solution of a plurality of design points is realized through the solver, the calculation result is analyzed, the optimal structure parameter combination and the sensitivity analysis of the structure parameters are given, the flow characteristics of the water meter are optimized, the cost of design and research and development is saved.
