The driving method of the liquid crystal display device comprises the following steps: determining a backlight characteristic value of each pixel; wherein the step of determining the backlight characteristic value of the at least one pixel comprises the sub-steps that an influence lamp area of the pixel is determined, the influence lamp area of the pixel comprises a central lamp area and a peripheral lamp area, the central lamp area is a lamp area corresponding to the pixel, and the peripheral lamp area is a lamp area within a preset range around the central lamp area; according to the position of each peripheral lamp area relative to the central lamp area, a weight lookup table of each peripheral lamp area is determined, and the weight lookup tables of two peripheral lamp areas which are centrosymmetric relative to the central lamp area are the same; determining the influence weight of each influence lamp area on the pixel; and determining a backlight characteristic value of the pixel according to the influence weight of each influence lamp area of the pixel on the pixel and the lamp area characteristic value of each influence lamp area of the pixel.
