The invention relates to a system (10) for determining a prescription for an eye (2) of a person, the system being configured to communicate with a mobile device (12), the system comprising:-at least one first light source (16) adapted to illuminate the eye with first light (20) having a first optical wavelength; -at least one second light source (18) adapted to illuminate the eye with second light (22) having a second optical wavelength different from the first wavelength; and-a computing module (40) comprising a memory (42) and a processor (44) arranged to execute program instructions stored in the memory to: measure photographic optometry of the eye at the first wavelength based on at least one picture of the eye recorded when the eye is illuminated with a first light; measuring photographic optometry of the eye at the second wavelength based on at least one picture of the eye recorded when the eye is irradiated with a second light; a prescription for the eye is determined based on photographic optometry measured at the first wavelength and photographic optometry measured at the second wavelength.
