Abstract

The invention provides a lane keeping assist apparatus and a control method thereof. The lane keeping assist device includes: a camera that captures an image in front of a vehicle; and a processor receiving the front image from the camera. The processor acquires lane line information from the front image, calculates a vehicle offset based on the lane line information, variably sets a target foresight distance according to whether the vehicle offset is greater than a threshold, and performs lane keeping assist control using the target foresight distance.
