Embodiment Construction

[0044] Referring now to the drawings, and in particular to Figure 1, there can be seen a high level schematic diagram illustrating the method and process of the present invention whereby the present invention detects the presence or absence of AMI. The flowchart illustrates the steps required for each particular waveform of the patient's EKG waveform data. Thus, the steps shown can generally be performed for each successive heart waveform in the patient's EKG data.

[0045] Method step 40 illustrates the beginning of the process. Method step 41 represents a pre-screening decision position in which it is determined whether some of the indicators in the EKG waveform to be examined indicate that the patient has a potential cardiac condition very similar to the standard AMI detection indicators. Those of ordinary skill in the art will understand that these indicators are numerous, but one example of these is a prescreened indicator that detects left ventricular myocardial hypertr...

Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system which are used for diagnosing acute myocardial infarction. The method and the system work by confirming whether each continuous heart beat waveform appearing in each electrocardiogram lead has at least one preset specific component wave. After the heart beat waveform for studying has the preset specific component wave is confirmed, an amplitude ratio is calculated. Generally each continuous heart beat waveform has at least one amplitude ratio calculated towards each electrocardiogram lead, finally, the amplitude ratio calculated in each continuous heart beat waveform of each lead is compared with a specific index, and based on the comparison, whether the acute myocardial infarction happens or not is indicated.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to an improved method and system for use in monitoring electrocardiogram waveform data, and more particularly, to an improved method and system for use in monitoring electrocardiogram waveform data and can detect the presence or absence of acute myocardial infarction , even in patients with underlying cardiac conditions very similar to acute myocardial infarction. Still more particularly, the present invention relates to an improved method and system for use in monitoring electrocardiographic waveform data to detect the presence of acute myocardial infarction even in patients with underlying cardiac conditions closely resembling acute myocardial infarction, An assessment of the presence or absence of acute myocardial infarction is obtained from the generated patient-specific data set and based on both the generated patient-specific data set and the statistical indicators. Background technique [0002] The presen...
