Abstract

The present invention relates to automatic interface identifying technology for device supporting USB interface and PS2 interface simultaneously. One detecting mechanism is connected between the first and the second ports, which are provided for equipment to be connected via USB interface or PS2 interface to the system unit. The detecting mechanism includes two functions of mode selection and interface detection, the interface detection function includes logic confirm device and interface distinguishing algorithm, and the mode selection function accepts the first and the second controls for the interface detection function to connect the logic confirm device to the first and the second ports so as to detect the logic state of the first and the second ports, to distinguish whether USB interface or PS2 interface is connected via cooperating with the algorithm and further to complete corresponding signal transmission with the proper mechanism.
