Abstract

The preparation process of nano titania particle includes the following steps: dissolving titanium tetrachloride or tetrabutyl titanate in ethanol to form titanium-containing ethanol solution; dissolving at least one of PVA, polyglycol and polyacrylic acid of molecular weight 200-30000 in deionized water to form hydrolyzed solution; dropping the hydrolyzed solution into the titanium-containing ethanol solution and dropping the solution into organic solvent with emulsifier via stirring and ultrasonic dispersing to form emulsion and precipitate; centrifugal separation, washing with deionized water, freeze drying and of the precipitate; and heat treatment at 400-800 deg.c for 0.5-2 hr. The said process can prepare titania particle of 15-100 nm granularity, homogeneously distributed granularity and no aggregate. The nano titania particle may be rutile phase or anatase phase depending on the different heat treatment temperature.
