Embodiment Construction

[0023] In the text of the present invention, the term "pulse" is used to describe the time dependence of the particle flow in a certain repetitive waveform. This waveform can be described by the local material flow (in grams per second) for each time period and the repetition frequency used to define the pulse time period.

[0024] Thus, in Figure 1A In the exemplary waveform 100 shown, one embodiment of repeated particle flow pulses is illustrated. The pulse has a pulse duration 110, a pulse repetition time period 120 (limited pulse frequency), and a peak pulse flow rate 130. If there is no particle flow between two pulses, the minimum pulse flow rate 140 is equal to zero. The particle flow can also be described by the average flow rate 135. Particle flow can also be expressed by particle density, which is defined as the volume flow of particles divided by the volume flow of air.

[0025] Specifically, the pulse may have two (or even more) plateaus, with a second plateau flow ra...

Abstract

The present invention is a method of and an apparatus for creating a pulsed stream of particles in a carrier means, such as air. A pre-metered stream of particles is accumulated in a pulsing chamber of a pulsing means by interrupting the stream of particles by a separator means, which interrupts the flow for a certain portion of the pulse period. The accumulated particles are then removed from the pulsing means by suction, such as by using an ejector. The invention is further directed to a kit or pack of individual absorbent articles which can be produced using the method and the apparatus.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention provides a method and device for forming a pulsed flow of particulate material, which has a high pulse frequency, and is particularly suitable for the production of disposable absorbent products, such as baby diapers and similar products. [0002] The present invention also relates to a complete set or package of individual absorbent articles that can be produced using the method and device. Background technique [0003] Generating constant and rapidly repetitive pulses of particulate material suspended in a carrier component such as air. For many applications, in particular, it is a long-term pulse whose waveform, frequency and material delivery volume can be well controlled during these pulses. Existing expectations. A particularly useful application is in the production of disposable absorbent products, such as baby diapers, adult incontinence products or feminine sanitary pads and similar products, where the goal of the production ...
