Embodiment 1

[0059] FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating a radiation information management device 40 for a balanced transmission system in Embodiment 1 of the present invention.

[0060] The radiation information management device 40 of this embodiment includes a measurement unit 41 and a comparison unit 42 .

[0061] The measurement unit 41 in the radiation information management device 40 measures unwanted radio wave radiation from the balanced transmission line 50 while the communication device 100 and the communication device 200 communicate using the balanced transmission line 50 . The comparison unit 42 compares the measurement value of the unwanted radio wave radiation measured by the measurement unit 41 with a predetermined reference value, and transmits the comparison result to the communication device 100 and the communication device 200 .

[0062] Now, assume that the communication device 100 is the transmitter. The communication device 100 considers the comparison result of...

Embodiment 2

[0064] FIG. 2 is a block diagram illustrating a radiation information management device 40 for a balanced transmission system in Embodiment 2 of the present invention.

[0065] The radiation information management device 40 of the present embodiment includes a measurement unit 41 , a comparison unit 42 , and a management information generation unit 43 .

[0066] The measurement unit 41 of the radiation information management device 40 measures unwanted radio wave radiation from the balanced transmission line 50 while the communication device 100 and the communication device 200 communicate using the balanced transmission line 50 . The comparison unit 42 compares the measurement value of unnecessary radio wave radiation measured by the measurement unit 41 with a predetermined reference value, and notifies the management information generation unit 43 of the comparison result. When the comparison result exceeds a predetermined reference value, the management information generati...

Embodiment 3

[0091] FIG. 6 is a block diagram illustrating a communication device 100 in Embodiment 3 of the present invention.

[0092] The communication device 100 of this embodiment includes a transmitting unit 10 , a control unit 20 , and a radiation information management unit 30 . The radiation information management unit 30 includes a measurement unit 31 and a comparison unit 32 .

[0093] Next, an outline of the operation of the communication device 100 in the present embodiment is described.

[0094] The transmitting unit 10 transmits the carrier wave modulated by the input signal input from the input terminal 60 to the communication device 200 as a receiver via the balanced transmission line 50 .

[0095] In the radiation information management unit 30 , the measuring unit 31 measures unwanted radio wave radiation from the balanced transmission line 50 due to the carrier wave emitted from the transmitting unit 10 to the balanced transmission line 50 . The measurement unit 31 de...

Abstract

A radiation information management device comprises: a measuring unit (41) that measures unwanted radio wave radiation radiated from a balanced transmission line (50); a comparing unit (42) that compares a measured value of unwanted radio wave radiation; and a management information generating unit (43) that refers a comparison result and generates the management information related to the unwanted radio wave radiation. The management information generating unit (43) notifies to communication devices (100), (200), which take a measure to reduce transmitting power based on the management information regarding the unwanted radio wave radiation. In the communication devices (100), (200), the unwanted radio wave radiation radiated from the balanced transmission line can be controlled within the reference value.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a communication device that performs data transmission using a balanced transmission line, and related techniques thereof. Background technique [0002] A known balanced transmission system is used to transmit different modes of data onto a balanced transmission line comprising a pair of communication cables. As one such balanced transmission system, there is a power line communication system in which the data is transmitted using a pair of metal cables originally used for power transmission by superimposing high-frequency signals. [0003] With the rapid development of information equipment, it is expected that the power line communication system will spread to general houses. The power line communication system in a general house has the advantage that when multiple computers are to be connected to each other, or when a computer is to be connected to other information equipment in the house, the power line already in...
