A forming fabric for use in the production of nonwoven products comprising a plurality of protuberances having a predetermined size and shape, wherein the protuberances are arranged in a pattern that defines a size and shape of nonwoven sheets formed therefrom.

More specifically, the instant invention relates to a forming fabric or belt for use in the manufacture of nonwovens. [0003] 2. Background of the Invention [0004] The production of nonwoven products is well known in the art. Nonwoven products are used in a wide variety of applications ranging from baby diapers to high performance textiles where the engineered qualities of the products can be advantageously employed.
