Benefits of technology

The present invention provides a method and device for a mobile phone that can use a jog disk to mix digital music data and support sound effects. This is achieved by extracting the direction and displacement range of the auxiliary input device from the input signal and applying corresponding effects to the music data. The music data can also be stored as merged music data based on the user's command. The technical effect of this invention is to enhance the user experience by providing a more immersive listening experience through the use of sound effects while listening to music on a mobile phone.

Problems solved by technology

However, the usage of the jog disk is limited to the input function.
However, the mixing function of the conventional MP3 phone is not enough to satisfy many of the user's requirements and it caused the device to be too large to carry.
More specifically, the mixing function of the conventional MP3 phone is not capable of producing the sound effects made by Disk Jockeys.

Abstract

A method for mixing effect sounds with a music data and storing / replaying the mixed music data using an auxiliary input device equipped at the mobile telephone is provided. The method includes extracting a direction and a displacement range of the auxiliary input device from an input signal, if the signal is input through the auxiliary input device while music data is replayed, applying effects corresponding to the extracted direction and input range to the music data, storing the music data with the applied effects in a temporary memory, and storing the music data with the applied effects as merged music data in a memory according to a user's commmand.
