[0001] This application is a continuation of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 10 / 359,051, filed on Feb. 4, 2003, which is a continuation of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 10 / 300,733, filed on Nov. 18, 2002, the contents of which are herein incorporated by reference.FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] This invention relates to an NT-proBNP protein ELISA assay procedure and test kit which is a specific and sensitive in vitro assay for measuring the concentration of NT-proBNP in bodily fluids, particularly human plasma. The invention particularly relates to an NT-proBNP protein ELISA assay having a particularly high diagnostic specificity, whereby the assay is particularly designed to be predictive of mortality as a result of congestive heart failure.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
