[0009]It is an object of the present invention to provide a Waist-supported Writing Surface that requires minimal effort of the individual user to assemble and configure for use and operation, which is particularly useful and advantageous to individuals characteristically considered disabled or physically challenged.
[0010]It is an object of the present invention to provide a Waist-supported Writing Surface that offers freedom of use of one's hand or hands to engage and accomplish other tasks or activities besides that of supporting a work surface.

Problems solved by technology

However, there may be instances where a desk or table is unavailable to fully accomplish the foregoing, notably where one works onsite or in the field, such as a land surveyor whom may be involved in taking site measurements of a parcel and transcribing the resultant measurements on paper.
Commonly associated with the foregoing portable writing devices, as well as others generally available in the art, is the inadequate nature of their design to fully collapse while in a state of nonuse while permitting continued wear on one's self, possibly to the extent of making the writing device immediately available on short-term notice.
