The portable kneepad is comprised of a cushion that has a knee-shaped indentation designed to comfortably support a user's knee. On the bottom side of the cushion is a magnet that allows the kneepad to hand from a metal surface when not in use and a handle means on the outer part of the cushion which allows the kneepad to be carried to various locations for its use. A gripping tread on the bottom side of the kneepad prevents the kneepad from moving or sliding when in use. The cushion is either made of rubber or polyurethane and / or has a waterproof and oil-resistant cover and allows automobile mechanics to use the kneepad to comfortably kneel while loading an automobile lift and to store the kneepad out of the way when not in use.

Knee pads for work pants and associated method

The present invention includes at least one knee pad and an associated method of attaching work quality external kneepads onto work pants by an attachment fastener. The attachment fastener preferably includes a commercial quality hook and loop fastener. The present invention adapts a pair of conventional work trousers to accept, when needed, conventional padded knee protectors. By using hook and loop fasteners, the kneepads can be quickly and simply attached and detached without having uncomfortable straps around the leg and therefore overcomes prior art shortcomings of hindering blood circulation. Thus, the direct attachment to the pants in lieu of straps means that there are no straps to cut into legs or cut off circulation. An additional benefit to this system is the convenience of laundering the work clothes.

Knee-protecting airbag

The knee-protecting airbag of the present invention is folded and housed in front of knees of a seated vehicle occupant for protecting the knees, and includes an airbag body and a tether. The airbag body includes an occupant's side wall located toward the occupant upon deployment and a vehicle body side wall located toward the vehicle body. A lower part of the airbag body serves as an upstream, and an upper part of the airbag body serves as a downstream, respectively of flowing-in inflation gas. The tether has a band shape arranged along the transverse direction, and joins the walls, such that passages for gas are formed between the left and right ends of the tether and the left and right edges of the airbag in the inner circumference of the airbag body. The tether includes a gas communication hole. The gas communication hole is so dislocated from the transverse center of the airbag as to face the transverse center of the seated occupant.

Double-O Kneepad

A kneepad that is attached to the exterior of the work pants, which can be either long or short, by the use of two attaching devices. The first device will be a horizontal strap which encircles the leg below the knee to prevent lateral and vertical shifting of the kneepad. The second device will attach the top of the kneepad directly to the pants to allow the said horizontal strap in the first device minimal tension to the leg which will greatly diminish poor blood circulation and discomfort. The attaching system which attaches the kneepad to work pants or shorts will allow for secure attachment, which can also be easily detached by the user. This attaching system will also be effective when exposed to fine particles and sediments, such as dust, which can reduce the performance in previous kneepads that use hook and loop fastening systems.

Knee-protecting airbag device

A knee-protecting airbag device is located below a steering column in front of a driver and, at a lower side of a key cylinder into which an ignition key with accessories is inserted. The airbag device includes a housing located below the steering column for housing an airbag and an airbag. The airbag is folded and housed in the housing in undeployed condition, and upon inflow of inflation gas, protrudes rearward from the housing to deploy upward to protect knees of the driver. The airbag is provided in its upper edge in completely deployed condition with a cover portion for covering vehicle's rearward of an area proximate to the key cylinder. The airbag is further provided with a flexible reinforcing cloth to be located in a part of the cover portion to contact the key accessories as the key is inserted into the key cylinder. The airbag is protected by the reinforcing cloth even if it contacts with the key accessories upon deployment.

Orthopedic knee crutch

A self-standing, orthopedic knee crutch includes an ambidextrous cushioned knee pad attached to an upper end of a vertical support member that employs centerline distribution loading to transfer the weight of a user onto a plurality of horizontal legs that distribute a user's weight. Each horizontal leg includes an elastomer tip for increasing a coefficient of friction between the knee crutch and the ground surface to minimize sliding or slipping. An adjustable, rotatable handle extends upward and away from the vertical support member to aid in supporting the weight of the user.

Knee Pad

A knee pad with a support frame, a pad, and a boot. The pad is assembled on the support frame to provide a cushioning surface between the support frame and the wearer's leg. The pad has ears in the knee section and in the ankle section, which serve to maintain the support frame and pad in proper alignment on the leg. The boot provides a non-slip, non-marring surface against the floor, when the wearer is working in a kneeling position. A moisture-absorbent liner, which is easily removed for cleaning or replaceable, may also be fitted on top of the pad, to provide an absorbent layer between the pad and the wearer's leg.

Knee protection system

The invention is related to a knee protection system having a knee pad permanently attached to a garment such as pants. The pad is made of silicone rubber. The pad may be shaped and have a number of pad areas including a patella covering part of the pad, a pair of side parts and a top part of the pad. The side parts of the pad protect the user when they roll on their knees and the top part of the pad protects the user knee when they lean forward. The silicone rubber pad is waterproof, inert, and fire resistant. The pad is permanently attached to a knee region of a pair of pants. By manufacturing the pad in a pair of pants a user can comfortably walk around with the knee protection system.

Flexible knee pad with rotating knee support cushion

A flexible knee pad of the kind to be worn over the knee of a workman who must kneel down for long periods of time while working on a work surface. According to a preferred embodiment, the flexible knee pad includes an upper knee support cushion against which the workman's knee is laid, a lower pivot support base to rest upon the work surface, and an intermediate pivoting reinforcement plate having a flat bed upon which the knee support cushion is seated. The intermediate pivoting reinforcement plate includes a pair of pivots that are coupled to respective pivot slots formed in the lower pivot support base. Accordingly, the pivoting reinforcement plate, the knee support cushion seated thereon, and the workman's knee are all suspended by and rotatable relative to the pivot support base above the work surface so as to advantageously reduce pressure applied to the workman's knee cap by the work surface should he rock his body and shift his weight back and forth over the work surface.
