2 results about "Oxygenators" patented technology

Devices which mechanically oxygenate venous blood extracorporeally. They are used in combination with one or more pumps for maintaining circulation during open heart surgery and for assisting the circulation in patients seriously ill with some cardiac and pulmonary disorders. (UMDNS, 1999)

A small blood oxygenator

The application provides a small blood oxygenator, belonging to the technical field of oxygenators, which comprises a shell, an oxygenator core body arranged in the shell, an upper end cover and a lower end cover respectively arranged on the vertical two sides of the shell, a liquid inlet connector connected to the lower end of one side of the shell, a liquid outlet connector connected to the upper end of the other side of the shell, an air inlet connector connected to the upper end cover, an air outlet connector connected to the lower end cover, and the liquid inlet connector, the liquid outlet connector, the air inlet connector and the air outlet connector are respectively connected with corresponding external channels through a butt joint structure. The application solves the problem that the air inlet, the air outlet, the liquid outlet and the liquid inlet of the existing small oxygenator are mostly connected with the corresponding external pipeline through a wire connection method when in use, and the positions of the air inlet, the air outlet, the liquid outlet and the liquid inlet are mostly connected with each other through a rubber ring to realize the leakage prevention function, the leakage prevention effect is not good, leakage may occur, and the normal use of the oxygenator cannot be guaranteed.

Determination of exhaust gas flow rate of blood oxygenators

PendingKR1020260113243AMechanical engineeringMechanics
A method (200) for determining the total flow rate of exhaust gas exiting a gas exchange device (110) coupled to the circulatory system of a patient (10) is disclosed. The gas exchange device is configured to provide oxygen-rich blood to the circulatory system by exposing oxygen-deficient blood to oxygen provided by an incoming gas and to allow the passage of excess oxygen into the exhaust gas. The method involves the step of determining the total flow rate of exhaust gas from the concentration and flow rate of oxygen leaving the gas exchange device. The concentration is recovered from a sensor, while the flow rate is determined based on a mass equilibrium approach, and the amount of oxygen leaving the gas exchange device corresponds to the difference between the amount of oxygen supplied to the gas exchange device and the amount of oxygen absorbed by the blood during gas exchange.
