A portable dry erase notepad for instantly jotting down notes, daily tasks, measurements for engineering and construction, grocery lists, phone numbers, e-mail and home addresses, sketches, etc. while in the car, in the workplace, in class; and at a meeting, party, or any event. An ergonomic arm support system maintains a neutral position for the forearm. A mechanical support structure attached to a chair or other mounting structure supports the arms of a sitting or standing person. The system includes moving elements and tensioning elements to provide a dynamic balancing force against the forearms. The support structure is not fixed or locked in a rigid position, but is an active dynamic system that is maintained in equipoise by the continuous operation of the opposing forces. The support structure includes an armrest connected to a flexible linkage or articulated or pivoting assembly, which includes a tensioning element such as a spring. The pivoting assembly moves up and down, with the tensioning element providing the upward force that balances the downward force of the arm.

A computer mouse having a separately movable hand rest. The mouse comprises a housing having a conically shaped depression within a top wall of the housing tapering to an aperture through the top wall. A connecting pin extends through the aperture with an interior end secured within the mouse housing. A hand rest providing support to the heel and palm of the hand is orbitally connected to the connecting pin by an aperture through the hand rest located within a concave portion sized to fit within the depression of the mouse housing. An adaptive arm support provides motion of an armrest within a plane through any direction of translation. A number of vertical rods and bearings permit at least two links to pivot with respect to each other, permitting translation in any direction while staying within the plane. A writing instrument holding and retaining device comprising a wristband/bracelet (22) with one or more fasteners (24), a tether/leash (26), and a writing instrument holder (32) securing a writing instrument (30). The tether connects the writing instrument holder to the wristband. The wristband and tether may be constructed of any suitable material and may vary depending on design and aesthetic preferences. The writing instrument may also have an appropriate fastener (36). The fasteners on the wristband and on the writing instrument must be able to be attached together to secure the writing instrument to the wristband when the writing instrument is not in use. The tether (26) may also have a fastener (28), so that the tether may be kept from dangling when not in use by attaching the tether's fastener to one of the fasteners on the wristband. For each of the fasteners mentioned above (wristband, writing instrument, and tether), any suitable fastener or fastening method may be used, for example, a clip, magnet, or Velcro.

An ergonomic support surface (2) is disclosed that supports a user's hand or wrist while moving in contact with the ergonomic support surface (2) to control a hand activated device, for example, a computer mouse on a mouse pad (6). The ergonomic support surface (2) may comprise a base (4) with a support structure (7) upon which the user's wrist or hand rests. The present invention provides a wristband for use with a keyboard or mouse (or other applications). The wristband is provided with a padded area formed of foam, beads, or other materials, so as to rest beneath the wrist of the user. A strap is provided to attach the padded portion to the user's wrist such that the padded portion rests beneath the wrist of the user so as to elevate the wrist, reduce strain and the like. Several embodiments were disclosed, including a simple embodiment with an integral VELCRO wristband and simple foam padding. A system and method support the forearm and hand of a user performing repetitive tasks. In one embodiment, the system includes a support bar having a low friction upper surface. First and second cradles are coupled to the support bar to receive and support a user's hands and lower forearms. The cradles have curved bottom surfaces that rest upon the curved upper surface of the support bar to provide a small, low-friction contact area, which enables the user's arms and hands to move effortlessly forward and backwards and left and right. The cradles also tilt and swivel with respect to the support bar. The system and method reduce strains on the arms and shoulders of the user by supporting at least a portion of the weight of the user's arms and hands while the user performs the repetitive tasks.

An adjustable wrist rest assembly includes a base housing and a pump assembly residing in the housing. A bladder is provided in fluid communication with the pump where the bladder is configured and arranged to receive a user's wrist region thereon.
