The display module comprises a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area at least partially, and further comprises a display panel, a light shielding layer and a cover plate. The display panel comprises a substrate and a light emitting layer, and the light emitting layer comprises a light emitting functional part located in the display area. The light shielding layer is located on a light emitting surface side of the display panel and in the non-display area. The cover plate is located on a side of the light shielding layer away from the display panel. In a direction parallel to the substrate, the
minimum distance between the light emitting functional part and the light shielding layer is a first
minimum distance. In a direction perpendicular to the substrate, the
minimum distance between a surface of the light emitting functional part away from the substrate and a surface of the light shielding layer close to the substrate is a second minimum distance. The size of the first minimum distance and / or the second minimum distance is set to enable light emitted by the light emitting functional part to be emitted from a light emitting surface of the cover plate or to be absorbed by the light shielding layer after being reflected by the cover plate. The display module provided by the application can improve the edge light leakage phenomenon.
