A payment method using the ID card with an IC card to carry out a transaction comprises: (1) an ID card reader reads the identification information comprising the ID card number of the user in the ID card of the user and sends the information to a request subsystem; (2) the request subsystem sends the payment request which comprises the identification information and the current order information to a payment verification subsystem; (3) the payment verification subsystem finds the corresponding account number according to the identification information, deducts money from the account and returns the processing result to the request subsystem.
