Embodiment Construction
[0008] The vacuum chamber consists of a completely airtight ceramic vessel in which a high level of vacuum is enclosed. A fixed contactor 1 is located at the upper end of the chamber. The movable contactor 2 is connected by a flexible conductive connector 3 to a ring conductor 4 in the middle of the chamber, allowing air to flow through it when venting. Current flows from the ring conductor 4 to the protruding contact 5 . The lower end of the movable contactor is connected to a ceramic insulator 6 which moves together with the movable contactor during operation. At the lower end of the chamber, an operating rod 7 connected to the lower end of the ceramic insulator leads through a bellows 8 to the outside of the chamber.
[0009] The operating rod, the insulator and the movable contactor form a movable unit through which the current can be switched on and off in the chamber, however, considering the insulating length of the ceramic insulator, it does not allow an electrical c...
