Abstract

The invention relates to a vacuum switch enclosed by a wholly airproof ceramic container, comprising a high-level vacuum arranged inside, a fixation contactor fixed on the top of the chamber, a mobile contactor connected to a ring conductor through a flexible conduction and non-airproof connector in the middle part of the chamber. The current is conducted to a projection contactor through the ring conductor. The lower end of the mobile contactor is anchored to a ceramic insulator and moved together when operation. An operation rod is introduced to the chamber and fixed to the lower end of the ceramic insulator through a metal bellow on the lower end of the chamber. A mobile unit is formed by the operation rod, the insulator and the mobile contactor, through which the current in the chamber can be opened or closed without establishing an electric connection to operation rod. In order to prevent electric arc generation outside of the chamber, between upper contactor and ring contactor, and between the ring contactor and the operation rod, the whole unit is packed by epoxy resin.
