Panchromatic images and multispectral images of TM illustrate the performance of the invention. Among them, the panchromatic image has a spatial resolution of 15m, while the multispectral image has a spatial resolution of 30m.
[0051] Since Landsat 7 ETM+ and SPOT do not provide real multispectral images with 15m resolution for comparison, in order to compare with real multispectral images with 30m resolution, we degenerate panchromatic and multispectral images to 30m and 60m, respectively. The 30m panchromatic image and the 60m multispectral image are fused, and the fusion result is compared with the 30m resolution multispectral image.
