Embodiment Construction

[0026] Below the present invention will be further described in conjunction with the embodiment in the accompanying drawing:

[0027] As shown in FIG. 1 : the circuit diagram in FIG. 1 includes a nonlinear amplifier 11 , an analog-to-digital converter ADC12 and an inverse conversion circuit 13 . The output end of the nonlinear amplifier 11 is connected to the input end of the analog-to-digital converter ADC12; the output end of the analog-to-digital converter ADC12 is connected to the input end of the inverse conversion circuit 13.

[0028] The analog input signal to be processed is first sent to the nonlinear amplifier 11 . The nonlinear amplifier 11 amplifies the input signal according to the nonlinear output function f(x). The amplified signal is sent to the analog-to-digital converter ADC12. The analog-to-digital converter ADC12 digitizes this signal and then sends it to the inverse conversion circuit 13 . The output function of the inverse transformation circuit 13 is ...

Abstract

The invention relates to an A/D conversion circuit structure used in broadband communication, and is characterized in that: the output end of a nonlinear amplifier is connected with the input end of an analog-digital converter (ADC); the ADC is connected with an inverse transform circuit; the nonlinear amplifier comprises two resistors, an amplifier and two diodes. The output function of the nonlinear amplifier is characterized in that: the amplifier has more gain on high-probability analog input signal and less gain on low-probability analog input signal. On the basis of no pinch off of high-amplitude signal and no adding of an extra circuit, the invention has outstanding processing capacity of low-amplitude signal; the combined action of the amplifier and the ADC ensures that A/D conversion inhibits both the minor quantized noise of low-amplitude signal (high probability) and the major quantized noise of high-amplitude signal (low probability); then, the signal received by the ADC can be processed by the inverse transform circuit to maintain the linear relation of input and output.
