Abstract

The invention provides a magnetic disc grade data backup system for supporting a zero backup window and a method thereof. The system comprises a backup control device, a fore-writing read device, a backup read device, a magnetic filter drive device, a backup snap list and a monitor list. The system obtains the backup snap list from the magnetic disc or the magnetic filter drive device and reads data on magnetic disc sector which need to be backed up; the fore-writing read device completes fore-writing read operation matching with the magnetic filter driver, reads data from the magnetic disc after receives signal of capturing writing operation sent by magnetic disc filter device; the magnetic filter driving device marks the object sector of writing operation in the monitor snap list and uses the marked object sector as a basis of incremental backup. It is not need to stop the affair application in case of using the invention to back up data, the invention hardly effects the affair application and supports the affair application of 24*7 continuous operation; the invention is realized in magnetic grade and is irrelevant to concrete upper layer affair, the backup method and realized backup system have more wide universality and application scope.
