A video player advances the requests and a DRM Agent receives the requests to access a corresponding RO and requests an SIM card for decoding the RO; the SIM card returns a key to the DRM Agent for decoding the RO; the DRM Agent receives the key and adopts the AES algorithm to decode the RO and extract a video content key and permission information; the content key is used for decoding the video content which is protected; the DRM Agent and SIM card separately upgrade the permission information after playing. The method of the invention has the advantages that by introducing the subscriber identity module, the storage safety of the permission limit in the digital copyright management system; even after the subscriber replaces the mobile terminal, the digital content with the purchased copyright could be also protected; therefore, the invention could be widely used.
