The invention discloses a road lamp energy-saving remote-management system based on Zigbee and GPRS, comprising at least a single lamp detection control device, for detecting every road lamp status information in real time and controlling illumination mode of every road lamp according to control signaling of remote monitoring center; at least a information transmission equipment, for transmitting every road lamp status information detected real-time by single lamp detection device mounted on every road lamp line to remote monitoring center; a remote monitoring center, for controlling every road lamp according to every road lamp status information. The invention employs Zigbee and GPRS wireless network communication technology, accomplishes real-time remote management for urban road lamp including single lamp or arbitrarily combined lamps. In addition, the invention also employs road lamp illumination power-saving device based on compensation type alternating-current chopping technology, then accomplishes energy-saving operation to maximum extent.
