Abstract

The invention discloses a device for measuring the water potential of an organic substrate, which comprises a pressure measurement panel, a pressure relief valve, a low pressure chamber of which the inside is provided with a ceramic plate, a high pressure chamber with of which the inside is provided with a ceramic plate, and a high-pressure gas cylinder. The high-pressure gas cylinder is connected with the low pressure chamber of which the inside is provided with the ceramic plate and the high pressure chamber of which is provided with the ceramic plate through the pressure relief valve and the pressure measurement panel respectively. Specimen cups containing the organic substrate are placed on the ceramic filter plates of the pressure chambers. The device can perform the synchronous measurement on water potentials of specimens with low-pressure (5Bar) and high-pressure (15Bar) ranges. Air supply pressures in the pressure chambers are preset through the high-stability and high-precision pressure measurement panel, the specimens are placed on the ceramic plates in the pressure chambers, and water potentials of the specimens to be measured are tested, calculated and determined by observing the water output condition of the pressure chambers. The device is characterized in that the device has high precision, good repeatability, easy popularization, and convenient measurement, and has practical significance on the research and development of the organic substrate and the cultivation management special in China.
