Abstract

The present invention provides a method and system for recording medium data. The method of recording data on a storage medium, comprises: writing a first recording indicator on the storage medium to indicate a first state of a data recording thereon; writing a second recording indicator on the storage medium to indicate a second state of the data recording thereon; and determining a recording status of the data recording according to the first and second indicators. The invention may increase the lifetime of a disk and enhance the failure recovery capability of a recovery mark.
