Problems solved by technology

[0005] During the research and development process, the inventors found that in the paging process of the UMTS communication system that introduced HNB, because the HNB cell was added, and the newly added cell still shared the area identifier with the cell in the traditional UMTS system, the network was not aware of the HNB When the UE under the cell performs paging, it will page both the cell in the traditional UMTS system and the HNB cell according to the area identifier, resulting in unnecessary waste of radio resources

no. 1 example

[0022] In the first embodiment, as in figure 1 In the network architecture shown:

[0023] HNB integrates the functions of RNC and NodeB in the traditional UMTS system, connects with HNB GW through Iu interface or enhanced Iu interface, HNB GW and CN are connected through Iu interface, and HNB GW can complete the connection between air interface area identification and ground interface area identification The HNB GW can further record the HNB cell or cell group where each user under the HNB GW is located, so that when the HNB GW receives the paging message from the core network, it will only page the paging message The HNB of the air interface area ID corresponding to the ground interface area ID included in , that is, directly page the HNB cell or the cell group where the HNB is located. Paging avoids repeated paging of the cell by the core network.

[0024] The specific steps are as follows, such as figure 2 Shown:

[0054] In the second embodiment, the UMTS network introduced into HNB passes Figure 4 The schema implementation shown:

[0055] In this network architecture, the HNB has the function of a NodeB in the UMTS system, and is connected to the HNB GW through an Iub interface or an enhanced Iub interface, and the HNB GW is connected to the CN through an Iu interface.

[0056] The network architecture and figure 1 Compared with the network architectures shown, HNB is managed by HNB GW, the difference is that Figure 4 In the shown network architecture, the HNB GW and the HNB are connected through an Iub interface. The difference in the paging process is that the paging message initiated by the HNB GW to the HNB is not sent based on the RANAP protocol, but is transmitted using the user plane bearer of the Iub interface, that is, sent based on the Iub user plane FP (Frame Protocol) protocol.

[0057] The third embodiment, introducing HNB self-spoon UMTS network Figure 5 The network architecture shown is implemented:

[0058] The network architecture and figure 1 , Figure 4 The difference of the described network architecture is that there is no HNB GW, Figure 5 In the shown network architecture, the HNB is directly connected to the CN through the Iu interface.

[0059] This example and figure 1 The paging process under the shown network architecture is roughly the same, the difference is that the CN converts the ground interface area identifier into the air interface area identifier.

[0060] Taking the location management of the network through LA as an example, because the CN paging the UE, the CN can determine the ground interface LA to which the UE belongs through the identification of the UE, and then pass the connection between the ground interface LAI and the air interface LAI pre-stored in the CN node. The relation query ground interface LAI correspo...

Abstract

The invention provides a processing method of a page message, mainly comprising the following steps of: converting a terrestrial interface region identifier in the page message including an identifier of user equipment (UE) into an air interface region identifier; and sending the page message that converts the terrestrial interface region identifier into the air interface region identifier to an indoor base station corresponding to the air interface region identifier, thereby shortening the paging range and saving the wireless resources. Simultaneously, the invention also provides a processing device and a network system for the page message.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to wireless communication technology, in particular to a method for processing paging messages in wireless communication. Background technique [0002] In a traditional Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS, Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) network, the UMTS system uses a Location Area (LA, Location Area) and a Routing Area (RA, Route Area) for location management. Both LA and RA are composed of cells or cell groups, and operators plan LA and RA. For circuit domain (CS, Circuit Switched) services, CN uses LA to perform location management. For example, in a LA, CN uses Temporary Mobile Station Identity (TMSI, Temporary Mobile Station Identity) to uniquely represent a UE, and CN uses this TMSI in The UE is paged within the range of LA; for packet domain (PS, Packet Switched) services, CN uses RA for location management, and within one RA, CN uses packet temporary mobile subscriber identity (P-TMSI, Packet Swi...
