Abstract

The invention discloses an iteration project quantification monitoring method based on defect drive and a system thereof, belonging to the field of computer software engineering. The method of the invention comprises the following steps: 1) extracting stable historic process from a software process database to establish an iteration project process performance baseline; 2) using the iteration project process performance baseline to estimate workload, progress and quality of each iteration; 3) using the estimation results to monitor whether practical iteration workload, practical iteration progress and practical iteration quality meet process performance targets. The system of the invention comprises a data layer and a model layer; wherein the data layer stores defect-related measurement indicators and process performance data, the model layer comprises an iteration project process performance baseline builder, an iteration initial estimator, an iteration workload process performance model, an iteration progress process performance model and an iteration quality process performance model. The invention provides all-dimensional measurement of workload, progress and quality and real-time monitoring during execution period of the project.
