Abstract

The coding method comprises: determining the OPUk carrying the access 8 B / 10 B coding signal according to the rate of the 8 B / 10 B coding signal and the different grades of rates of the optical payload unit k OPUk in an OTN; converting the 8 B / 10 B coding signal into a specific coding signal according to the rate of the 8 B / 10 B coding signal and the rate ofthe OPUk; and mapping the specific coding signal to the OPUk for transmission.
