Abstract

The invention discloses a linear correction method of LED dynamic backlight, comprising the following steps of: measuring the liquid crystal display brightness of backlight at each gray value; drawing a curve of the backlight gray values and the liquid crystal display brightness; reading the maximum value of the liquid crystal display brightness; carrying out 256 even division on the liquid crystal display brightness from 0 to the maximum value; reading the backlight gray value corresponding to each even division brightness from the curve; manufacturing a lookup table according to the obtained 256 backlight gray values; and correcting the output backlight brightness values by utilizing the lookup table. In the invention, the linear corresponding relation between the backlight data and brightness is obtained by the linear correction method, and the relation is fixed in the lookup table, thereby effectively solving the disadvantage that the relation between the backlight data value and the actual display brightness is not the linear relation when in LED dynamic backlight.
