Problems solved by technology

Although application layer multicast solves some problems existing in IP multicast, compared with IP multicast, ALM increases the transmission delay and link load between nodes, which has certain advantages for applications with high real-time requirements or heavy traffic load. restrictive

Embodiment Construction

[0047] The solution can be divided into five parts: IP multicast detection module, networking algorithm module, communication module, audio and video data transmission, and node information management module.

[0048] IP multicast detection

[0049] IP multicast detection is to make full use of IP multicast islands. Because IP multicast can effectively save bandwidth, we divide all nodes in an IP multicast domain into an independent autonomous domain, and select a representative node R (generally the node that joined the group first) to participate in the construction of the overlay network , that is to say, the entire autonomous domain is regarded as a node in the overlay network. All nodes in the autonomous domain use multicast to transmit data in the domain, and the data sent to other nodes outside the domain is first transmitted to R and then forwarded by R. The data sent from outside the domain to the nodes in the domain is also forwarded by R. In order to prevent tran...

Abstract

The invention designs and realizes a plan for streaming media transmission by constructing an overlay network through combining IP layer and application layer multicast technologies. The core thought of the plan is as follows: using the IP multicast and overlay network technology, adopting the application layer multicast algorithm to construct an overlay network so as to provide an efficient transmission platform for streaming media data, supporting each networking node for subscribing audio / video streaming and supporting multiple networking algorithm switch and algorithm expansion. The plan mainly comprises the following contents: (1) detecting IP multicast islet, wherein all users in an IP multicast domain appear as a user externally, and use the IP multicast mode to perform mutual transmission data internally; (2) operating the application layer multicast algorithm to construct an overlay network; (3) performing streaming media data transmission on the overlay network, and supporting nodes for subscribing audio / video data; and (4) operating different multicast protocols (such as Narada, Yoid and HMTP algorithm), supporting switch of different protocols and providing an access for addition of a new algorithm. The plan has the advantages of saving network resources effectively, reducing transmission time delay and lowering the possibility of single-point fault occurrence due to an end-to-end structure, and is suitable for streaming media application such as video sessions and the like.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of computer multimedia technology, and relates to application layer multicast algorithm, overlay network technology, streaming media transmission technology and the like. Background technique [0002] With the development of network and multimedia technology, traditional web browsing, email and other services can no longer meet people's growing interactive needs, and the application of streaming media has gradually become the focus of attention. Such as multimedia news release, online live broadcast, online video advertisement, e-commerce, video on demand, distance education, Internet radio, real-time video conferencing, etc. For such high-bandwidth streaming media applications, the main goal of such systems is to provide more users with reliable high-quality multimedia audio and video interactive services using limited resources. One of the key issues to achieve this goal is how to effectively transmit streaming med...
