The switching method comprises the following steps of: 1firstly, pressing a button in slip connection with the sprinkler to relatively slip; 2 secondly, rotating a pawl by making the button act on a linkage seat of the pawl; 3 thirdly, rotating the pawl and rotating a ratchet wheel through the control end of the pawl, and simultaneously deforming an elastic claw of the pawl to store energy; 4 fourthly, rotating the ratchet wheel and drivingto drive a water distributing disc to rotate, accomplishing the switching of water outlet functions by using the water distributing disc when rotating the water distributing disc to the place, and meanwhile, making a stopping claw of the pawl abut against ratchets of the ratchet wheel to prevent the reversal of the ratchet wheel; and 5 fifthly releasing the pressing to reset the button, releasing the elastic energy of the elastic claw and driving the pawl to reset.
