Abstract

The invention discloses a high-efficiency concentrating solar photoelectric converter. The solar photoelectric converter comprises a concentrating system which consists of a Fresnel concentrating mirror or one or two matched reflective surfaces and makes a concentrating focus just fall onto the surface of a solar battery; a focused solar beam is split into complete solar spectrums by a lens made of a high-chromatic aberration material or a beam splitting system consisting of a wave guide; and spectral beams radiate to a novel photocell which consists of a group of high-efficiency photosensitive quantum wells of which the energy bandgap and the geometry are just matched with those of the solar spectral beams projected on the high-efficiency photosensitive quantum wells. The photoelectric conversion quantum efficiency of the photosensitive quantum wells can reach over 90 percent. The matching of branch current is realized by connecting the quantum wells in series tactfully so as to realize extremely high photoelectric conversion efficiency.
