Abstract

The invention provides an ion funnel for mass spectrometry analysis. An interface for use in a mass spectrometer is disclosed. The interface includes a first ion funnel including a first inlet and a first outlet and a first axis between the first inlet and the first outlet. The interface also includes a second ion funnel, the second ion funnel is arranged in front of the first ion funnel, and includes a second inlet, a second outlet, and a second axis between the second inlet and the second outlet. Wherein the first axis and the second axis are offset relative to each other. Mass spectrometers and methods including the interface are also disclosed.
