The invention discloses an equal-precision frequency measuring circuit and a frequency measuring method thereof, wherein the circuit comprises a first counter, a second counter and a frequency division counter; a tested signal is respectively connected with clock input ends of a first D trigger and a second D trigger; a trigger end of the first D trigger is connected with a control signal START, and an output end of the first D trigger is connected with an enabling end of the first counter; the trigger end of the second D trigger is connected with the control signal STOP, and the output end of the second D trigger is connected with the enabling end of the second counter to realize synchronous control in the raising edges of the control signal and the tested signal; an output signal of the frequency division counter is connected with the clock input end of the first counter, and the tested signal is connected with the clock input end of the second counter. The equal-precision frequency measuring circuit and the frequency measuring method provided by the invention can eliminate the error in the number of the pulse signals caused by a counting method in unit time and remarkably improve the accuracy and real-time performance for collecting rotation speed signals.
